Of course, as soon as you say the snowy owl will probably not make himself at home in Harriman State Park, one does.
A Snowy Owl Appears at Harriman State Park’s Lake Welch
This beautiful picture was taken by Alan Wells on January 9th. Alan spotted the owl at Lake Welch, and noted in his checklist on Ebird: “Originally found in picnic area at north end of lake near public swimming beach, flew to beach where it was attacked by crows, then flew to parking lot.”
Hi Suzy,
I met you at Flat Rock Park on Torne Valley Road with Geoff Welch. He was photographing my handmade soaps (Ramapo River Soap) with the Ramapo River as a backdrop. My soap company is Ol Darlin and you can find out more about it on my Facebook. I love hiking in Harriman State park as well. Hope to run into you and your dogs again!
Hi Kathy! I’m so glad you’re on Facebook with Ol Darlin! I had been looking for your products but couldn’t find them (the farmers’ markets have all closed).
Let’s do a story or review!
